Tell us about yourself!
I am an artist from Ukraine, currently living near Cambridge. My background is in art and design: I graduated from the Lviv Academy of Arts with an MA in glass painting and art teaching. I have worked with glass for many years, creating art objects and decorative pieces. Over time, my creativity naturally transitioned to painting.
In my paintings, I depict birds, flowers, and butterflies, striving to convey beauty, joy, and inner freedom through them. I draw inspiration from nature—its forms, colours, and patterns. My work combines decoration and stylization: I transform natural images into patterns, paying particular attention to colour and detail. For me, painting is a way to share with people a sense of goodness, lightness, and harmony, as well as an opportunity to show that the world around us can be bright, joyful, and pure.

Where do you work?
My creativity is born at home, in a small but very cozy studio. It's my special corner, where peace and light reign, where everything has its place and helps me focus on creating my paintings. Here I feel free and can fully immerse myself in the process—from the first sketches to the finished piece. In this space, I am surrounded by paints, brushes, and natural motifs that inspire me every day. For me, my studio is more than just a workspace, but a place of inner harmony and creativity.
What do you get up to when you aren’t painting?
When I'm not creating, I love to travel and discover new places. I especially cherish walks around my small village. If I have more time, I happily travel to different parts of the country to admire nature and architecture. I also adore being by the sea and strolling along the shore, enjoying its tranquillity. I also enjoy visiting various galleries and museums – they inspire me and give me new ideas. I also participate in a volunteer project, because communication and new experiences are very important to me.
Most frequently played tune in the studio?
I don't have any particular musical preferences or saved playlists. I rarely listen to the same music over and over again—I choose it based on my mood. Sometimes it's light melodies, sometimes rhythmic compositions. But most often, I choose podcasts, audiobooks, and inspiring stories about interesting people.
